Wanderers’ Isaac Kaliati, Emmanuel Nyirenda and Promise Kamwendo also converted scored for Wanderers, but Blessings Singini missed.

Mighty Wanderers dominated the first-half where not only did they control the game, but created more opportunities and took the lead in the 27th minute through Thierry Tanjong Sama.

But substitute Binwel Katinji who had earlier replaced Emmanuel Allan equalised in the 55th minute.

Wanderers restored their lead in the 67th minute when Blessings Singini spotted an out of line Silver goalkeeper George Chikooka and managed to beat him through a long range effort.

But Nomads suffered a blow in the 70th minute when their captain Lawrence Chaziya was shown a red card for a foul on Chinsisi Maonga.

Silver took advantage of the situation and four minutes later the Bankers equalised again through Zebron Kalima.

In post-match interview Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira said despite the loss he was encouraged with the display by his players

“I have to commend my players. It was a great performance. It is unfortunate that we conceded goals that could have been prevented. But that happens in football.”

On his part, Peter Mgangira had words of praise for his players for a never give up spirit

“I am happy that the players never gave up and were focused to come back from behind and eventually win.

“This victory I also dedicate to the technical panel. We worked as a team and won as one. But this is over and now we have to focus on the new season,” he said
