The Beach Soccer Association has shifted the venue for this year’s Club Championship from Chintheche in Nkhata Bay to Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima.

According to the association’s General Secretary, Frank Chisambula, the decision was made to allow Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Fleetwood Haiya to attend the tournament, as he will be engaged in activities within the Central Region.

He added that it is easier for Haiya to travel to Salima than to Chintheche.

Despite the venue change, Chisambula emphasized that Chintheche remains the official host of the tournament and will still provide two teams for the competition.

He also revealed that the association is expecting a highly competitive tournament, and Beach Soccer scouts will be identifying potential talent during the event.

FAM has injected K50 million into this year’s Club Championship, and the association is appealing to well-wishers and companies to support the event.

The 2025 Beach Soccer Club Championship will take place from April 26 to 27.
