An online Television station Bakili Muluzi TV, says Malawi will remain to be a democratic country assuring the Police and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) that the country will not have another dictator after Kamuzu Banda who was famous for throwing his critics into the Shire River as crocodile meat.
Bakili Muluzi TV said in 1994 Malawians made a declaration that no to one-party state and dictatorship and will not allow any person to be the second dictator as memories of Kamuzu Banda who used forfeiture Act to punish his critics for them to be poor for life.
He said it is not surprising to see the Malawi Police Service (MPS) be in the armpits of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to destroy the hard-won democracy sending a strong message to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera that Malawians wants change and he cannot deny this.
The Television station said Section 91 of the Elections Act is very clear that as soon as voting process is over, immediately counting of votes begin to determine the winner saying this system has been there since the dawn of multiparty politics and democracy in 1994.
He said the Mec calendar has come up with new developments that on the 16th September, it will be a voting day while on the 17th September, 2025 will be vote counting pleading with Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja not to frustrate Malawians that are already angry with her.
Bakili Muluzi TV said Justice Mtalimanja is denying independent auditing for the Smartmatic machines saying this is the declaration that Mec is planning to wage war with Malawians that have vowed no to the use of Smartmatic machines for elections in their country.
He has alleged that the Malawi Congress Party (MCP)wants to destroy democracy in Malawi that on the 16th September, 2025 there will be no fuel in all filling stations across the country and this will make ballot papers stationary at one point in the polling centres.
The Television station has also alleged that the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) will switch off all internet networks so that there should be no communication and all the radio frequencies will be affected on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
He has further alleged that phanga wielding thugs of MCP youth operatives will be deployed in polling centres of the central region of Malawi to intimidate and threatening monitors of the opposition parties to be powerless.
“Mec CEO Andrew Mpesi is allegedly planning to send ballot papers to centres in the northern and southern regions very late, Malawians are all aware and are watching, they will not keep quiet but to do everything possible to defend their country from the hands of destroyers
