President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah the Revolutionary himself, says Malawi is going through horrible situations, if it is not fuel, it is forex, if it is not forex, it is sugar, if it is not sugar, it is electricity.
Jumah said Malawi is a country which has three companies producing sugar, but there’s no sugar and sugar has become an expensive commodity observing that most of the Malawi leaders have no better story, all of their stories are bad.
He said none of the leaders in Malawi is worrying when the citizens are going without sugar, fuel, forex and electricity lamenting that even in shops, there are price hiking every hour in a country where there is a government.
Speaking through his civic education and awareness campaign programme, Jumah said shame must go to the government of the day for failing to serve the citizens saying for 61 years, politicians have been going into government not to take care of the people but to eat taxes of the people.
Jumah has claimed that Malawi Police Service protect more of government officials than the citizens, saying Malawians are sleeping awake, fuel, electricity, forex can run out but not sugar, water and maize but Malawi is experiencing that.
He said the system in Malawi is more of dictatorial than democracy observing that in the situation the people of Malawi are sailing through, the president cannot be seen, Minister of Trade is nowhere in a country of no sugar, no water and no maize and no one can question them.
The MRP President said it has been a tradition since 1994 that governments in Malawi are failing to provide long term solutions for fuel, forex and sugar saying if these politicians were leaders, these problems could have been resolved once and forever.
He has observed that political parties in Malawi have already started campaigning for votes ahead of the official opening of campaign, these parties are flouting the electoral laws, there is no one to hold them accountable.
“Malawians must make sure that six governments have failed to develop the country to be Qatar of Africa not the 7th government,” said Jumah.
He has appealed to Malawians as political parties are coming with party manifestos to them of proven leadership and delivered, they should tell Malawians the areas of proven leadership and deliveries for informed choices.
