Freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua says those who fought for democracy in Malawi cannot have time to betray the same democracy saying it is sad that some other people who are claiming that their parties fought for democracy are the ones betraying it.
Kalua said he has reliably been informed by credible sources that Atupele Muluzi and Enoch Chihana are planning to kill democracy their fathers fought for it by joining the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) in a quest to return the country to one party state.
He has described this development as very disturbing saying him being one of the freedom fighters cannot allow that saying this will work in Malawi once he has been killed as some other people are planning to.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua has advised Malawians to be very careful that there are some people who wants to run independent and once they are elected to power, they should be part of the MCP to bring back the country to a one party state and dictatorship.
Kalua has assured all in Malawi regardless of their party affiliations that what he is after is to see to it that the country remains in peace with no war, he wants to see that the elections which is coming on the 16th September, 2025 are free, fair, credible and transparent.
He said it is his wish to see to it that all political parties are free to contest for national elections observing that there is too much tribalism in the country praying that one day, Malawi shall have a President elected from a minority party.
The Freedom fighter said shame should go to all those that are planning for Malawi to go back to a one party state and dictatorship praying that God must curse them for they were too young and they don’t know what it was to fight for the freedom of the country.
He has asked all those that are planning to take away lives of innocent people for the country to go back to one party state to kill him assuring them that God created them for a purpose not to kill fellow human beings saying no matter how long it takes, them too, will die.
Kalua has accused the Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec) Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja of hardening her heart not to allow independent auditors to see what is in the Mec systems for transmitting results to the tally centre assuring her that God will punish her for not siding with the will of Malawians.
“king Pharaoh did not want the children of Israel to go back to their land of Canaan but God provided the way for the Israelites to return to their promised land,” said Kalua.
He has claimed that papers are being signed secretly after receiving K5 billion each assuring them that God is not sleeping, he is watching all of this, the same God will sweep them one by one, no matter Judges will be on their side but they will go.
Kalua has finally assured Malawians that he is ready to be killed for the sake of defending the hard-won democracy in Malawi and fighting for free and fair elections, they will all go, no matter how they are betraying Malawians advising Mec to watch out, millions of Malawians are monitoring them.
