The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has assured the departed souls’ families of the Chikangawa forest that the party will not stop in pursuing for justice saying the case is not closed, it will be open after the 16th September, 2025 elections.
The DPP has also assured Malawians that by the 16th September, 2025 elections, all those that took their hands in the killing of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest, will one by one be confessing their evil deeds to Malawians.
The Party said to make this working, there is a great for all opposition parties to work together so that together they bring to book Dr. Saulosi Chilima’s killers to be arrested, prosecuted and enter the prison corridors to serve jail sentences.
Speaking at Nsipe ground in Ntcheu district during SKC Memorial service, DPP Vice President for the Eastern Region Bright Msaka SC, assured the people that the DPP will work hand in hand with the UTM until the killers are punished.
”We will not stop until the killers of the nine departed souls are identified, arrested, and prosecuted by competent courts of laws,” said Msaka.
Msaka expressed fears that what the Chikangawa party did to Dr. Chilima and eight others, can happen to all other innocent Malawians hence a great need for Malawians to work hand in hand for the Chikangawa party not bounce back into government on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
He promised family members of the departed souls that once Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika took over government on the 16th September, 2025 will be to revive the case for the Chikangawa forest killers to face justice.
In her speech, UTM presidential advisor Dr. Patricia Kaliati, prayed for bad spirits to continue haunting all those who took their hands in the killing of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest on 10th June, 2024.
Dr. Kaliati also prayed to all eligible voters not to give votes to the Chikangawa party on the 16th September, 2025 and God to punish them for forgetting that without Dr. Chilima’s support they would not have a chance of tasting the presidency in Malawi.
She finally prayed to God to send his angels on to the Smartmatic machines so that on the 16th September, 2025 elections, they should all stop functioning for voting, counting, and transmission of results to be done manually as in the previous elections.
“For you the killers of innocent people, God created you not to kill people, you have done what you wanted on Dr. Chilima and others, but God will do something to you and you will know the greatness of the Lord,” said Dr. Kaliati.
