Kalua apologizes to all the Chewa people for unfair remarks

Freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua has apologized on behalf of all politicians in the Northern Region of Malawi who have been making very sensitive and divisive remarks against the Chewa Heritage Foundation(CHEFO) and the Chewa people.

Kalua said apologizing is Godly and not foolishness claiming that some politicians from the region have been asked to apologize for their sensitive and divisive remarks against the Chewa people but have not bowed down to this demand and apologize.

He said this is not the first time for him to apologize to the Chewas on behalf of the northerners reminding Malawians that in 1995 AFORD President Chakufwa Thom Chihana described the Chewas as a less educated tribe but him personally went around in the Chewa districts in Mchinji, Kasungu, Dowa, apologizing for the same.

Speaking through an audio clip, Kamlepo Kalua said he is DPP and will stand on the 16th September, 2025 elections as a DPP candidate dismissing all claims which are being made that DPP is for Lomwe, UDF is for Yao’s and MCP is for the Chewas, saying Malawians are Malawians regardless of regions and tribes.

Kalua has condemned the violence which erupted in Chimbiya-Dedza district where MCP supporters were reported to have pulled out opposition parties flags and in retaliation, many people were injured and a life was lost.

He said as this was not enough MCP violent supporters went to the house of DPP Vice President for the Centre Hon. Alfred Gangata torching it describing this situation as not politics but criminality observing that the people that are doing this do not know the history of the country.

“On behalf of the culprits, I am extending my heartfelt apology to Chiefs Lukwa, Kaomba, Msakambewa, Dzoole, Mlonyeni, Kalumo, Kanyenda and all CHEFO members and the Chewa people, Malawi is one country and there will be no any other Malawi apart from Malawi we have,” said Kalua.

He has joined all those that organized SKC Memorial Service in Nsipe-Ntcheu honoring and remembering Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima and eight others, who were tragically killed in the Chikangawa forest on the 10th June, 2024.

Kalua said while Malawians are remembering one-year Anniversary of SKC in the grave, he is also remembering that one year has gone his mobile phone is in the hands of Police at Area 30 in Lilongwe demanding the Inspector General of Police madam Yolamu to give back his phone.

He has reminded Malawians that he was blacklisted by police because of the voice not of his but someone saying he was arrested and insulted left and right for questioning the tragic death of Dr. Chilima and eight others.

The Freedom fighter has appealed to all registered voters in Malawi to vote for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on the 16th September, 2025 elections to bring back the lost democracy in Malawi praying to God to give more years of life to Mutharika to shame all those that are escorting him to an early grave while he is in health conditions.

Kalua has appealed to Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja to love Malawi first above all else and Malawians second saying this is the only way Malawi can continue to be peaceful with its people showing love and unity to one another.
