Jumbe tells opposition leaders disunity fuels the fire of the MCP

By Vincent Gunde

A voice of the voiceless citizen of Malawi Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has advised opposition leaders that disunity is the Oxygen that fuels the fire of the MCP saying they are the last and only hope for Malawi’s liberation.

Jumbe says Malawi is a nation where fuel queues are growing longer, hospitals are running dry, youth walk in the streets jobless, the people are now turning their eyes to the opposition, they see quarrels over positions, silent wars of pride and poisonous whispers on who should lead the country.

He says every insult, every act of pomposity, every refusal to form an alliance, is not just political suicide-it is national betrayal observing that they are not disagreeing among themselves, they are tightening the rope they will be politically hanged.

Writing on his face book page, Comrade Jumbe says “He is too old to run” is not a disqualifier in a democracy-it is experience, saying a village that ignores the wisdom of its elders walks blindly into the storm, democracy is not built on youth or age, it is built on purpose, vision and servant leadership.

Jumbe says a true patriot does not fear who leads as long as the people are led out of poverty, corruption, and despair saying Malawi does not need rulers, it needs rescuers and rescuers do not argue over the steering wheel when the ship is sinking, they unite to save every soul aboard.

He has expressed fears that if they are failing to build an alliance now, when the enemy is strong and the people are desperate –what will happen when they are in government, they will be in another circus of greed and infighting and they will not put the interest of the nation above their own.

The voiceless citizen says Malawians are not asking for miracles, they are asking them to come together, to speak with one voice and to remember that the real opponent is not each other –but hunger, injustice, unemployment, and failed leadership.

He says the teeth may fall out, but the tongue must still speak the truth and the truth is that Malawi is on fire, the people are tired, and time is running out saying history will not be kind to those who let pride rob this nation of change.
“You still have time-time to lay down your egos and pick up the burden of the people, time to forge alliances not for your comfort, but for the country’ survival, time to become patriots and not politicians,” reads Comrade Jumbe’s writings on the wall.

Comrade Jumbe has finally advised opposition leaders that when the roots are united, the tree stands firm, Malawi is watching, the people are hoping, the future is calling, they choose unity above pomposity and choose Malawi that is a call for unity and political tolerance before 16th September, 2025 elections.
