Freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, has claimed that Malawians by going to the road this coming Friday to hold demonstrations saying they are against President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera but to sustain their hard-earned democracy which has gone to the dogs under the MCP led government.

Kalua said he has been given international support to join the demonstrations as one who fought for it in Malawi so that democracy is maintained and sustained for the good of Malawians today and the generations coming.

He said he didn’t know that the international community is trusting him claiming that he is receiving phone calls even from world leaders that he should not leave Malawians alone in a quest to fight for their lost democracy.

Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua said the Friday’s march in Lilongwe is in preservation and respect of the Republican Constitution saying he had time to tell the world through phone conversations the history of the country from the past to the present.

Kalua said the international community has demanded names of MCP thugs who are damaging the image of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera saying the same was done during the reign of Kamuzu Banda where people were thrown into the Shire River as crocodile meat in the name of Kamuzu Banda.

He said he has presented 10 names, 3 members of Malawi Police Service, and 4 from the Malawi Defense Force who are facilitating the operations of armed thugs to be terrorizing, hacking, intimidating and threating innocent people in Malawi in the name of democracy and has been assured of their action to them.

The freedom fighter has appealed to Malawians that time is running out for them to hold demonstrations of firing Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja and Shadric Mpesi but to demand the two to preside over the elections in a free, fair, credible and transparent manner.

He said he has a strong belief that Mtalimanja would manage the elections, but he should listen to the voices of people that are calling for independent ICT auditors to investigate the Smartmatic machines so that Malawians go to the polls with trust.

Kalua said his participation in the demonstrations is based on three things, opposition to audit the Smartmatic machines on voters’ roll, sustaining democracy and respect of the Constitution urging Dr. Bakili Muluzi to join the demonstrations so that they move together in Lilongwe.

He has claimed that his announcement to join the demos has been received by the killers through holding a secret meeting to kill him praying to them that they don’t what they are doing assuring them that their protest march is for the preservation and respect of the Constitution and for the sustainability of democracy in Malawi.
