Veteran Freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, says he is praying for the Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec) to conduct free, fair, credible and transparent 16th September, 2025 elections for all to celebrate the results for the will of Malawians to be respected.
Kalua said if it is a crime to advocate for free and fair elections, he is encouraging all those who are masking their faces terrorizing, threatening, intimidating and hacking innocent people to come and kill him on Friday in Lilongwe during anti-violence demonstrations.
He has expressed trust that in the 16th September, 2025 elections, God above the Heavens will intervene to send his angels to vote for the opposition so that the will of Malawians is respected, praying for peace and calm to be seen in Malawi before, during and after the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Speaking through his audio clip, Kalua said he has sent the video clip where Silvester Namiwa was being bruised in full view of police and MDF officers to the video clinic and all agreeing that things were not good on that particular day of the attack that all this happened because of politics.
Kalua said the Police and MDF officers were seen making comments that they failed on their duties but they respected orders from the above and they could not do anything to rescue Namiwa from the attackers who were ready to kill him.
He said Central Region is in Malawi and its people too, are Malawians and as such, he has appealed to former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika never and ever to revenge what the MCP and President Chakwera are doing to Malawians.
The freedom fighter has appealed to Malawians to maintain peace saying he is all aware that Malawians are in pain and sufferings in their country but to put their anger and pain in God’s hands for Malawi not be in war but in love.
“Where there’s love, there’s God and where there’s God, there’s love, we want love not war in Malawi, we want peace, peace and peace in Malawi,” said Kalua.
He has called on Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja to accept opposition independent ICT auditors to investigate the figures in the Smartmatic machines for Malawians to sing the song together of free and fair elections and for peace in the country.
Kalua has appealed to opposition parties not to fund demonstrations which in the end would bring violence and anarchy in the country but demonstrations which will bring unity, the rule of law and restore the country’s lost democracy.
He said it is the wish of each and every Malawian prayer that the losers accept the results of the 16th September, 2025 elections assuring Malawians that backward never with democracy and forward ever saying if multiparty democracy is wrong in the eyes of people, it is because of the leaders not democracy itself.
