Kaweche courts Muslim voters

William Chikweta Kaweche, a hopeful parliamentary candidate for Mzuzu City South East Constituency, was determined to win the hearts and minds of the local Muslim community.

Kaweche had heard that the Sheikhs in the area were influential and respected, and he knew that gaining their support could make all the difference in the upcoming election.

With this in mind, Kaweche arranged a meeting with the Sheikhs where he outlined his vision for the constituency.

He spoke passionately about his plans for development, infrastructure, and social welfare, and the Sheikhs listened intently.

“We need to work together to build a brighter future for our community. I promise to listen to their concerns, to work tirelessly for their needs, and to represent our constituency with integrity and dedication,” said Kaweche.

The Sheikhs were impressed by Kaweche’s sincerity and conviction.

They presented their concerns and requests, including the need for paint [for painting some mosques], water, and fencing around some mosque premises to ensure their safety.

Kaweche has promised to deliver on these requests, particularly on water and sanitation, which are essential for the Muslim community.

Sheikh Arab Kainga described the meeting with Kaweche as fruitful, saying it provided an opportunity for Kaweche to outline his development agenda for Mzuzu City South East Constituency.

According to Sheikh Kainga, Kaweche outlined his plans for the area, and the Sheikhs presented their concerns and requests for his consideration.

The Sheikhs were pleased that Kaweche promised to assist and they promised to spread the message to their Muslim community.

Sheikh Kainga expressed optimism about a cordial relationship with Kaweche and wished him success in his parliamentary bid.

“We are happy that he has promised to assist us. We are taking the message to our Muslim brothers and sisters in the area. We are looking forward to a cordial relationship with [Mr.] Kaweche and we wish him a very successful parliamentary race,” said Sheikh Kainga.

The meeting seemed to have laid a positive foundation for potential collaboration and support between Kaweche and the Muslim community in the constituency.
