Chisomo Academy vows to maintain top spot in Chipiku league

Central Region Football League’s (CRFA) Chipiku Premier league leaders, Chisomo Academy says it will strive to continue being the league leaders for the premier league.

The clubs coach who is also the director, Chisomo Nkhoma said they are determined to giving out their best to maintain on the top spot.

Currently, the team tops the 16-teams log table with 12 points having played 4 games and is yet to taste defeat.

She said: “We know that every team in the league is strong and we cannot take anything for granted. We will continue working hard and stay focused and make adjustments as needed.

We are a team on the rise and we are determined to make a mark on the league. We believe that we have the talent and determination to achieve this goal.”

Nkhoma said the teams also aims to help players in the team to reach their full potential by creating a strong foundation for the team and build a successful future.

CRFA general secretary Antonio Manda said he is impressed that the league has started on a positive note setting a tone for an exciting, competitive and well managed season.

“Importantly, there has been no match abandonments showcasing the discipline and maturity of the participating teams and their fans.

“This flawless start to the league is a testament to the solid planning and coordination by CRFA and it’s stakeholders,” said Manda.

Chisomo Academy beat TN Stars, Green Rangers, Wimbe-shire and Mbadzi united to claim top position in the Chipiku Central Region premier league.

Chipiku stores are sponsoring the league this season to a tune of K25 million.
