Political activist Bon Kalindo has claimed that Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is the decider to make Malawi a better place or not, advising him to listen to the voices of reason not to make the mistake of choosing his running mate from his party-DPP.
Kalindo said Mutharika’s presentation of his nomination papers in Lilongwe on Friday is a do -or break for Malawi saying it will prove to Malawians inside and outside the country that he is prepared to liberate Malawi from dictatorship and poverty.
He said all eyes are on Professor Mutharika’s running mate that this is the time to liberate Malawi from the bondage of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) led government which has done its best to take the country back to a one-party state and dictatorship.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo has thanked former President Dr. Joyce Banda and AFORD President Enoch Kamzingeni Chihana for the love they have for the country saying they are ready to work with anyone.
Kalindo has also thanked other opposition party leaders that beside of not being heard of their voices, they are ready to work with any one for the sake of Malawi forgetting whatever differences they have but Malawi first.
He said research has proved that millions of Malawians have thrown their weight on Professor Mutharika to rule the country than President Chakwera who is not wanted by the citizens themselves and the donor community.
The activist has proposed to Professor Mutharika two options to choose as his running mate for Friday’s nomination papers presentation in Lilongwe saying out of these two Madam Mary Nkhamanyachi Chilima and Dr. Dalitso Kabambe are the best candidates to win support from the entire 22 million citizens.
He has warned Professor Mutharika that any mistake no to choose one of the two as his running mate, the MCP and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will be given an upper hand to claim victory on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
“If either Mary Chilima or Dr. Dalitso Kabambe will not make it as Mutharika’s running mate, Malawi will be on fire, many Malawians including opposition leaders will be killed, MCP will not spare for their lives,” said Kalindo.
He has assured Professor Mutharika not to be carried away by opinion polls that he is on the lead before the country goes to the polls saying choosing Mary Chilima or Dr. Dalitso Kabambe as running mate will bring joy to the entire population of Malawi and for sure, MCP and President Chakwera will lose the elections before the 16th September, 2025.
Kalindo has expressed hope that those surrounding Professor Mutharika will leave Mutharika alone to make his intelligent decision of choosing either MaryChilima or Dr. Dalitso Kabambe as his running mate to liberate the country which has gone to the dogs under the MCP government and President Chakwera.
He has finally pleaded with the UTM that it should not go alone on the 16th September, 2025 elections saying this is the moment to work with the DPP and Professor Mutharika in a quest to liberate the country from the jaws of MCP dictatorship.
