Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Shadow Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre, Peter Mukhito, has vowed to turn the constituency into a shining example of progress and prosperity if elected in the upcoming elections.

Mukhito, who also serves as the party’s Secretary General, said residents have endured years of neglect, with little to show in terms of meaningful development. He emphasized that the time has come for decisive action to change the story of City Centre.

“The people of City Centre have suffered for too long without proper development,” Mukhito said. “My mission is to deliver lasting change that will uplift lives and create opportunities for everyone.”

Under his ambitious development agenda, Mukhito pledged to roll out initiatives targeting youth and women empowerment. He plans to create business opportunities that will enable them to achieve economic independence and contribute to the area’s growth.

Calling on residents to back his vision, Mukhito urged voters in Lilongwe City Centre to rally behind him at the polls, promising that their support would translate into real, tangible improvements for the constituency.
