Political activist Bon Kalindo, has thanked MCP media team for informing the world that he is critically ill, at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and dead saying this has extended his life to other years of life to continue speaking for the poor people in Malawi.
Kalindo said MCP media team did this to divert peoples’ attention following remarks which were made by President Dr. Lazarus reducing the Tsogolo Account of giving K500,000 to newly born babies to collect after 18 years and this will be in 2043.
President Chakwera told the people in Mzimba that the MCP government after bouncing back into government will create Tsogolo Account for newly-born babies to receive K50,000s and by the time they will reach 18 years, they will be already millionaires of the land.
Kalindo said he is a human and he can fall sick and his sickness made the MCP media team to publicize that he is dead, claiming that he received many phone calls of enquiring about his life and one from Chikwawa travelled all the way to see him in Salima.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo has again warned opposition parties that failing to unite for one grand alliance is giving the MCP more room to continue its vote rigging scheme alleging that Mec will deploy new drivers special to carry voting results from constituency to the main tally centre in Lilongwe.
Kalindo has alleged that these drivers will not reach Lilongwe with the voting results collected from southern, eastern and northern regions, the regions which according to Mec voter registrations data, have registered very few people as compared to central region advising opposition parties to open their eyes.
He has claimed that the fuel situation being experienced in the country will continue and the same will be the order of the day on the 16th September, 2025 voting day observing that this is another strategy by the MCP for opposition parties not to go for campaign rallies.
The activist has appealed to opposition party leaders that as they are campaigning for votes, they should refrain from over promising voters claiming that the MCP campaign has hit a snag following new promises which have been proved to be unrealistic.
“MCP manifesto is full of unrealistic promises, they failed all the previous promises but today, they have come with another lie to fool Malawians,” said Kalindo.
He has warned opposition party leaders that failure to meet and join one grand alliance, justice surrounding the tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest on 10th June, 2024 will not be seen
Kalindo has assured opposition leaders that what Malawians are looking from them is to join forces to liberate the country from the hands of the MCP and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is poised to win the 16th September, 2025 through support from Mec.
