Jane Ansah urges Chitipa residents to embrace proven leadership of APM

By Burnett Munthali, Malawi Freedom Network

After presenting the Democratic Progressive Party manifesto to the people of Karonga yesterday, Jane Ansah continued her campaign tour in Chitipa today.

The day began with paying respects and presenting the manifesto to Senior Chief Mwaulambya, a gesture that Ansah said reflected gratitude for his kindness and warm welcome.

Following the formalities, she and her team prepared to meet with the people of Chitipa to share the message of hope associated with the proven leadership of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM).

Ansah acknowledged that many citizens are tired and frustrated after five years of perceived mismanagement and are ready to return to leadership that has a record of achievement.

She also noted that some voters remain hesitant or uncertain, urging supporters to reach out and convince them that APM is the only candidate who has been proven to manage the country effectively.

Highlighting past failures, Ansah criticized the last five years for mismanaged contracts and a State House that has become a stage for empty promises, describing these as ridiculous grants that have wasted precious time.

She emphasized that Malawians can no longer afford to waste time and that this regrettable chapter in the country’s history must end by 4 pm on 16 September.

Ansah called on residents to take action by informing their friends and family that voting for the blue ticket is the only solution, whether by attending campaign meetings or engaging through media channels covering the DPP campaign.

She concluded by expressing excitement for the upcoming events in Mzuzu, urging citizens to be ready for the APM experience and the anticipated mega rally.

Concluding Analysis

Jane Ansah’s tour of Karonga and Chitipa underscores the Democratic Progressive Party’s strategy of combining grassroots engagement with high-profile endorsements to galvanize support.

Her emphasis on proven leadership, contrast with the last five years, and direct appeal to hesitant voters highlights the campaign’s focus on credibility, experience, and urgency.

If the DPP successfully translates this energy into voter turnout, particularly in northern constituencies like Chitipa and Mzuzu, it could consolidate their base and significantly influence the September 2025 elections.
