Mulanje, Malawi – Patricia Kaliati, advisor to UTM party leader Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, has strongly criticized the current government, claiming it has failed to fulfill the promises made by Dr. Saulos Chilima under the “Tonse” coalition. Kaliati alleged that the government is deliberately downplaying the capabilities that Chilima demonstrated.
Speaking at a UTM rally in Chitakale, Mulanje, Kaliati highlighted that the Chakwera-led administration has failed to reduce fertilizer prices, despite it being feasible. She emphasized that the promises made by UTM and Dr. Chilima were realistic and could have been achieved if UTM were in power.

Kaliati also urged Malawians to avoid voting for leaders who follow habitual patterns, emphasizing that the country needs leadership with the capacity to drive economic recovery – a role she says Dr. Dalitso Kabambe is best suited for.
UTM, under Kabambe’s leadership, continues to hold grassroots meetings across the country, advocating for economic reform and accountable governance ahead of the upcoming elections.
