Chintheche, Nkhata Bay – In a bold campaign move, Aford leader Enock Chihana has pledged that every constituency will receive K5 billion for development projects if DPP presidential candidate Peter Mutharika wins the upcoming September 16 elections.
Speaking at a rally at Chintheche market, Chihana emphasized that the funds would support healthcare, education, infrastructure, and essential services, ensuring that communities across Malawi see tangible improvements.
Chihana, whose party has formed a strategic alliance with the DPP, also called on residents to vote for Aford’s local candidate, Victor Tchuwa, in Chintheche constituency, stressing the importance of coordinated efforts for national development.

“The K5 billion per constituency is not just a number—it’s a commitment to transforming lives and empowering communities,” Chihana told the enthusiastic crowd.
Political analysts say this move could significantly influence voter sentiment, highlighting the growing collaboration between Aford and DPP as a potential game-changer in the 2025 elections.
