Lilongwe, Malawi -The People’s Voice Party (PVP) has commended all Malawians for conducting themselves peacefully and responsibly during the 2025 General Elections.
In a statement released by the party’s President, Rt. Hon. Lawrence Mkuzi Banda, PVP praised the spirit of unity, patience, and dignity that Malawians demonstrated throughout the voting process, describing it as a milestone in strengthening the country’s democracy.
“As vote counting continues and unofficial results circulate, we urge our supporters and all Malawians to remain calm, peaceful, and patient. We must uphold the same discipline and unity we showed on polling day,” Banda said.
The party emphasized that the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) remains the only legally mandated institution to manage and declare election results. PVP stressed its commitment to wait for MEC’s official announcement with patience and respect for the rule of law.
“True democracy thrives on trust, patience, and respect for institutions. Malawi belongs to all of us, and together we must safeguard peace and stability in our nation,” Banda added.
The People’s Voice Party reaffirmed its dedication to fostering unity and preserving peace during this crucial period in the country’s democratic journey.
