Silver Strikers have booked their place in the FDH Bank Cup semifinals after a resounding 3-0 win over Blue Eagles at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe on Thursday.

The Area 47 giants, popularly known as the Bankers, displayed class and composure to overcome the hosts and secure a much-needed victory.

Mwase, Petro and Allan on Target

Center-back Nickson Mwase opened the scoring in the 37th minute with a powerful header, connecting brilliantly to a long throw-in from MacDonald Lameck.

In the second half, former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder Ernest Petro doubled the lead in the 54th minute, marking his first goal for Silver Strikers since joining the club.

The match was put beyond doubt in added time when Emmanuel Allan capitalized on a defensive mix-up by Blue Eagles to slot home in the 92nd minute, sealing a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Road to the Semifinals

With the win, Silver Strikers advance to the semifinals where they will face the winner between Mighty Wanderers and Creck Sporting. The highly anticipated clash is scheduled for October 19, 2025, at Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
