Freedom fighter and rights activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, says it is shame that after putting the Holy spirit to be guiding them in the war of liberating Malawi from the shackles of MCP dictatorship and a quest to return the country to one-party state, some DPP members have forgotten God.
Kalua said if Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s leadership has the guidance of the Holy spirit, it will not allow its people to go for vengeance against members of the MCP but to say Haleluya and glorify God’s name and His Kingdom.
He has condemned in strongest terms possible the assault on MBC Director General Mr. George Kasakula by some DPP members who went to his office dragging him out of office to force him apologize to President Professor Mutharika and his wife Getrude Mutharika for the insuults he has been making against them during MBC’s Timvetse programme.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua has called on the DPP to issue a statement of apology to Kasakula’s family condemning what has happened that this was not made with the guidance of the Holy spirit.
Kalua said Jesus paid for the sins of all people, beating a person because DPP is now in government, the law will protect them is not good reminding DPP members that the party won the elections because God was on their side.
He said he fought very hard to bring multiparty in the country and some other people should not take advantage of abusing the same multiparty by victimizing innocent people under his watch saying he cannot allow this to happen as long as he is alive.
The freedom fighter has urged Malawians not to take the law on to their hands assuring them that he is the most victimized person in the country but at no time he has carried out revenge against those that are victimizing him.
“Let us treat each other as human, leave revenge to God, dragging people out of office and force them to confession, should not happen under Mutharika’s leadership,” said Kalua.
He said Professor Mutharika is a statesman, apology must be granted advising DPP members and supporters that the DPP of this time is not of the past expressing optimistic the DPP Vice President Justice Dr. Jane Ansah SC will join him in condemning the situation with love of the Lord and the Holy spirit so that all to sing Haleluya to God.
