The news that former President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera was rejected by the Tanzanian human rights organizations not to mediate in that country’s 29th October, 2025 elections standoff, was greeted with joy in Malawi.
Malawians instead of feeling sorry for their country being rejected in Tanzania, they were all in celebrations that God has punished Dr. Lazarus Chakwera through other people to teach him a lesson that he should leave better with people because God hides tomorrow.
Discussions which aretaking place in various social media platforms, are speaking for itself that President Chakwera and his MCP has gone out of government leaving a legacy that no Malawian will forgive him.
The MCP diehard said beside being a Chewa, President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera when he was entering government in June, 2020 found the Chewas not united and he has gone out of government leaving the Chewas not united.
He said President Chakwera found two Chewa tribal groupings, Chewa Heritage Foundation (CHEFO) and Bwalo la Chewa Foundation (BOLA-CEFO) all claiming to be the voices of the Chewas in Malawi and he has gone out leaving the Chewas today divided under three tribal groupings with another group- Chifukwato cha Chewa.
Kamphangala said with these divisions on the table of President Chakwera, he did not come to his senses to invite all the Chewa tribal groupings to come to a roundtable discussion on how best the Chewas can be one in one nation- Malawi.
He said those who were surrounding him deceived President Chakwera that the 3 million registered voters in the central region were all for Malawi Congress Party (MCP) not knowing that he planted seeds of destructions to the Chewa unity.
The MCP diehard said truth to be told, President Chakwera in him there is no leadership quality and humanity observing that he kept quiet while Malawians were buying a pale of 5 Liters maize at K10,000, skyrocketing prices of essential goods, and panga wielding thugs terrorizing and hacking innocent people in Malawi.
He said it is sad that some people who are the Chewas, are nursing big wounds on their bodies after being hacked by MCP panga wielding thugs advising President Chakwera that this is the best time to apologize to Malawians from deep down his heart but not for Malawians to forgive him but to remember for his apology.
“President Kamuzu Banda is on record to have apologized to Malawians on 1st January, 1992 that he did not know that some other people in his party- MCP were committing various atrocities under his name,” said Kamphangala.
He said if President Chakwera was not the one sponsoring panga wielding thugs to be terrorizing and hacking innocent Malawians, he must come out confessing that he did not know anything as what Kamuzu Banda did, but if he maintains his silence on the matter, he should not expect any Malawian to forgive him including his own Chewa tribe.
