A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has questions the MCP of their motive behind blocking police from going into President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s residence to search for four shepherd dogs.

Kamphangala said he don’t understand the decision reached to send Lawyer Jivason Kadzipatike to obtain a court injunction stopping the police from conducting the search of the dogs describing this move as won’t solve anything to correct the picture of the MCP at the Kamuzu Palace.

He said after reports went viral in various media platforms of smearing faeces on the walls, and property looting which include water meters at the Kamuzu Palace, MCP was the first to react that DPP was fabricating the news with the aim of destroying the good image of the MCP to Malawians.

The MCP diehard said this time around, the MCP has been the first to go to court to block police from searching the dogs inside President Chakwera’s residence saying this is speaking to itself that MCP has accepted its wrong doings.

He said if President Chakwera was innocent, he would have let the police do their work or even telling them that he was owning four shepherd dogs that he bought from Israel and these are dogs he walked out with them from the Kamuzu Palace.

Kamphangala said if indeed President Chakwera had his shepherd dogs, he purchased them as personal property, why not allowing the wheels of justice to take its course? Saying the blocking of police officers from searching has concluded that President Chakwera stole the shepherd dogs from Kamuzu Palace.

“If one is not guilty, he cannot refuse the police from searching him or his house, what President Chakwera has demonstrated is that he is guilty to the offence of stealing shepherd dogs from Kamuzu Palace,” he said.

The MCP diehard has warned all those that are siding with President Chakwera for the decision of blocking police officers from searching Chakwera’s residence for the missing dogs that they are destroying the history of the party and not that of President Chakwera.

He said the news that MCP has looted property at Kamuzu Palace and blocking police officers from conducting a search for the missing dogs at Chakwera’s residence, has put to shame the whole MCP family and supporters.

Writing on his face book page, Business entrepreneur Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira, says he has noticed that the story of dogs has taken a different angle saying the court has withdrawn the search warrant which was issued to Malawi Police.

Kachamba Ngiwra says the withdraw of the search warrant has concluded the whole case to rest in peace that the whole former President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera cannot steal dogs as some people are speculating.

“Let’s channel our energy on issues to benefit Malawians, what if the dogs were really purchased as personal property?” reads Kachamba Ngwira’s writings on the wall.
