Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Hon. Roza Fatch Mbilizi, M.P., is participating in a two-day Cabinet Retreat in Mangochi.
The retreat has been organised and funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
It brings together Cabinet members and senior government officials to discuss key national priorities.
The sessions will focus on governance reforms aimed at improving accountability and transparency in public service.
Economic measures to enhance Malawi’s resilience and stimulate growth are also on the agenda.
The retreat is being held under the theme “Delivering the Promise: Building a Resilient Economy, Accountable Governance and Strategic Partnership for Transformation.”
Officials will explore strategic partnerships to support the implementation of national development plans.
The gathering provides a platform for collaborative decision-making and policy alignment across ministries.
UNDP has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Malawi in achieving sustainable development and good governance.
The retreat is expected to result in actionable recommendations to strengthen economic performance and government accountability.
