Police in Lilongwe have arrested former Secretary to the President and Cabinet (SPC), Colleen Zamba, at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) this morning.
National Police Publicist Laero Chimtembo has confirmed the arrest, stating that Zamba was intercepted as she was about to board a Malawi Airlines flight to Geneva via South Africa.
Zamba has since been taken to Lingadzi Police Station in Lilongwe for further questioning. Details surrounding the reasons for her arrest are still unclear, but security was notably heightened around the VIP Lounge during the incident.
