Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika returns home today

Former President and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, is expected to return to the country today following a successful trip abroad.

According to a statement from the Office of the President, Professor Mutharika will arrive through Bakili Muluzi International Airport in Blantyre at around 5:00pm, accompanied by Madam Gertrude Mutharika.

Supporters, well-wishers and party loyalists are expected to line up to welcome the former Head of State, whose return comes at a time when many Malawians continue to look up to his leadership, experience and statesmanship.

Professor Mutharika remains a respected national figure, remembered for his calm leadership style, commitment to infrastructure development and strong international relations during his time in office. His return is expected to energize supporters and spark renewed political engagement across the country.
