A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has accused some MCP members and supporters of calling for an immediate release of MCP Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda.
Kamphangala said those who are calling for an immediate release of Chimwendo Banda do not know the offence he committed prompting the police to arrest him dismissing claims that he was arrested for political reasons.
He said the truth of the matter is that Chimwendo Banda hired assassins to abduct a fellow MCP member Frank Chiwanda by placing him in a sack tying both legs and hands with a rope ready to be thrown into Bua River for crocodile meat.
The MCP diehard said by the grace of God, the assassins revealed to Chiwanda everything and ordered him to ran away with them reporting back to Chimwendo Banda that the mission of throwing Chiwanda into the Bua River, has been accomplished.
One MCP member writing on his face book page, Denis Dzimkambani has assured Chimwendo Banda that all MCP members and supporters are with him in prayers following his arrest by Police and they will be with him in these trying moments for love and not the love for his money.
Dzimkambani said Chimwendo Banda remained their Secretary General until 2029 and there will be no change praying that how long it will take light shall conquer darkness and Chimwendo Banda would be released from Prison.
“I therefore join the people of Senior Chief Chiwere in Dowa East constituency in prayers for good health and immediate release of Chimwendo Banda,” reads Dzimkambani’s writings on the wall.
Kamphangala has expressed fears with the future of the MCP that if Chimwendo Banda remains the party’s Secretary General to 2029, then, there is something wrong with the MCP Constitution demanding a review, revisit and amendment of it.
He has advised Denis Dzimkambani not to pretend in his writings that all people of Dowa East constituency are praying for Chimwendo’s good health and immediate release from prison saying Chimwendo Banda has made many Malawians to sail through pain and sufferings including the people of Dowa East constituency.
“Those in the MCP that have benefited from Chimwendo’s money, pray for him and not force others to pray for a devil, Chimwendo deserve not to be granted court bail, if he is granted bail, let all those suspects who are languishing in the country’s prisons on attempted murder charges, also walk to freedom,” said Kamphangala.
He said Chimwendo Banda is the state witness to all the atrocities the MCP has committed in Malawi including the famous Chikangawa plane crash warning judges that if Chimwendo is released, they should expect two things; to sneak out the country through unchartered routes or to shoot himself with a gun.
