Bishop Kachenje tells writers to rewrite MCP History

By Vincent Gunde

Rights activist Bishop Kachenje, has told book writers to rewrite the History of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera from 23rd June, 2020 to 16th September, 2025 for the country’s children to learn in Primary and Secondary schools.

Bishop Kachenje said the five years of President Chakwera and his MCP were very painful, Malawians have suffered with no hope for a better tomorrow and hearing that Chakwera and his party were praying for their bouncing back into government, it was just suicide.

He said had it been that President Chakwera and his MCP bounced back into government on the 16th September, 2025 elections, many Malawians advocating for change including opposition leaders, would have by this day, all killed, but thanks to the Lord for saying “NO” to MCP rule in Malawi.

Speaking through an audio clip, Bishop Kachenje said MCP is harvesting what they sown, saying MCP Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda is harvesting what he planted, God was not happy with what he was abusing innocent people in Malawi.

Bishop Kachenje said it is sad that there are calls from organizations claiming to be MCP human rights and activists calling for Chimwendo Banda to be granted bail questioning them that those who were being terrorized and hacked by Chimwendo Banda’s sponsored thugs, were they not their relatives and friends?

He has appealed to all those crying with loud voices calling for Chimwendo Banda’s release to leave the matter in the hands of the court warning them that they will follow him at Maula prison, the calling for Chimwendo release will be heard while together with him in prison.

The man of God has advised all those who are surrounding President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to learn a lot from him so that by the year he will announce his retirement from active politics, the DPP should not follow him to where he will be.

He has advised DPP leaders to always be reminded that Malawians voted for Professor Mutharika into government because of his works and had it been that he did not stood in the 16th September, 2025 elections, Malawi could have been in civil war by today.

“Learn a lot from him to be good leaders after him, keep your unity and good culture, Malawians themselves will choose who amongst you to lead the DPP and not imposing to them,” said Bishop Kachenje.

He said as for the MCP, whether one likes it or not, the party will never and ever rule Malawians anymore, it has been buried with no more resurrections, advising Malawians to forget about MCP cries that even if President Professor Mutharika build a tarmac road in the air, they cannot say “thank you”.

Bishop Kachenje has finally advised DPP leaders to be remembering that there is tomorrow, President Professor Mutharika is trying to keep his legacy for tomorrow case in point is cabinet reshuffling days after he made his first appointments speaking for itself that he is walking with Malawians and not a few misguided individuals.
