Malemu Madalitso Kazombo’s funeral should have been a moment of solemn remembrance, but instead, it has revealed the bitter truth about betrayal, envy, and political deceit that haunted him until his final breath.
Wonder Msiska, an official from Times Radio, has disclosed a chilling truth: Kazombo’s spirit was enraged at the sight of his so-called enemies boasting and celebrating at his funeral. According to Msiska, Kazombo would have forgiven some, had their names not been mentioned—a stark reminder of the cruelty he endured in life.
“Malemu Kazombo was deeply betrayed by political leaders,” Msiska said. “They even orchestrated nominations to ensure his defeat in elections. Kazombo despised them and wanted to chase them away. It is tragic that today, in death, he appears to have become a good man in the grave, while the guilty walk free.”
Msiska, together with Brian Banda and Bayana Chunga, issued a sharp warning to political actors: confront your conscience. Reflect on the harm done to Kazombo. They emphasized that if MCP leaders had known his life was nearing its end, he would not have faced the mistreatment and manipulations that marked his final days.
Kazombo’s funeral has thus become more than a farewell—it is a mirror reflecting the corruption, envy, and moral failures of those entrusted with public service. His anger, it seems, continues to haunt those who wronged him. The question now lingers: will justice ever reach the living, or will they continue to bask in the impunity that drove Kazombo to his grave?
Malawi must confront this uncomfortable truth: the dead cannot speak, but their silence is loud with lessons for the living.
