The donation, which targets both health care delivery and food security, comes at a critical time when many households are struggling with acute food shortages while health facilities face resource constraints.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, FGRF Communications Director Ibrahim Omar reaffirmed the foundation’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable communities across Malawi. He said FGRF remains focused on providing essential necessities such as health support, food aid, and other humanitarian interventions to people in need, regardless of location.

“Our mission is to restore dignity and hope among vulnerable populations. We will continue working with communities and stakeholders to ensure that no one is left behind,” said Omar.

Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Chimwemwe Chipungu, who is also the Member of Parliament for the area, commended FGRF for what he described as a timely and impactful gesture. He urged other organizations and well-wishers to emulate FGRF’s example by supporting communities facing hardship.

Chipungu further took the opportunity to encourage parents and guardians to prioritize education for their children, emphasizing that free primary and secondary education provides a unique opportunity for equal access to learning and long-term development.

Group Village Headman Lolo expressed gratitude for the food assistance, noting that many households in the area are living in desperate need of support. He appealed to more partners to come forward with similar interventions to help alleviate hunger and improve living conditions for affected families.

The initiative by FGRF not only strengthens local health services but also offers relief and hope to thousands of families, reinforcing the foundation’s role as a key partner in humanitarian and community development efforts in Malawi.
