A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has assured all MCP thieves who have destroyed the country to brace for more arrests following President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s State of the Nations Address (SONA) delivered in Parliament.
Kamphangala said truth to be told, the country has lost billions and billions of Malawi Kwachas which could have gone a long way to address equally important projects but this money has gone into crooked pockets of individuals in the MCP for mansions, Lodges and Filling Stations in town.
He said it is heart-breaking to learn that K59 billion was looted at the Greenbelt Authority, k39 billion from NEEF, K190 billion from M1 Road construction projects, billions at Salima Sugar Company and many other institutions.
The MCP diehard said reading from Professor Mutharika’s speech, it is clear that there is proven leadership in Mutharika than in President Chakwera who for five years, has taken Malawi as his personal estate milking from poor Malawians.
In his speech, Professor Mutharika made it clear that his government will arrest anyone involved in corrupt malpractices whether one is a Cabinet Minister, party official, Member of Parliament (MP) or Government official.
Mutharika assured Malawians that he will shield no one and there will be no sacred cows to make Malawi a land of justice, Kamphangala observed that what Mutharika said will be implemented and not the flowerless speeches Chakwera has been making in his five years of office.
In his speech, Mutharika appealed to all the three branches of Government: The Executive, The Judiciary and The Legislature that they must never make decisions that are against the interests of the country urging all to be patriotic to their country.
Writing on his face book page, Leader of Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECGC) Prophet Shephered Bushiri, has praised Mutharika’s SONA as bringing hope to Malawians calling on all Malawians to support his vision to come true.
Prophet Bushiri said Mutharika’s SONA has put him ready to deliver in the field of agriculture, economy, governance and development and Social commentator Onjezani Kenani said Mutharika has sent a very strong message against the corrupt fat cats.
On his part, Counsel Silvester Ayuba James said in Mutharika’s SONA, there is no fake ascent, no empty poetry, no useless foreplay, just straight to business and wasting nobody’s time, Chakwera has been speaking lies to Malawians, he need a replacement.
“Tipeze wina namwali kwathuku, malaulo amenewa, never again” reads Ayuba James’s writings on the wall.
