Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah arrived at the Pentecostal International Church of Christ (PICC) at exactly 09:30, amidst jubilant celebrations, with attendees erupting in ululation and cheers as she took her place among the congregation. The atmosphere was electric, with the Vice President’s presence injecting a sense of excitement and reverence into the proceedings.
Pastor Esau Banda sincerely thanked the Vice President for honoring the invitation to attend the PICC’s 16th anniversary celebrations, acknowledging the significance of her presence at the event. “Thank you for coming to worship with us despite your busy schedule,” he said, emphasizing that her presence was a demonstration of her humility and commitment to her faith.
“You have demonstrated your greatest humility, and your presence is not taken for granted,” Pastor Banda continued, his voice filled with emotion. “When people rise to great positions like the Vice President, they don’t look at others. Once again, you are welcome, Madam VP.” The Pastor’s words were met with nods of agreement and murmurs of appreciation from the congregation.
The highlights of the Sunday service were multifaceted, Pastor Banda explained. “We are gathered to acknowledge God, second to celebrate the closure of the inauguration from Monday to yesterday Saturday, third to close the 16th anniversary of the church – 7/3/2010 PICC was established.” The Pastor’s words set the tone for a celebration of faith and community.
The congregation was also gathered to launch three spiritual books, Pastor Banda announced. “The sales of the books sold are helping to build the church. When these books are bought, they help to build PICC church.” The Pastor’s message was clear: giving is a way of investing in one’s spiritual growth.
“Don’t go back home the same way you came,” Pastor Banda urged, encouraging the congregation to leave the service transformed by the word. The Hope Ministry Choir took to the pulpit and sang in praise of the Lord, their voices soaring and uplifting the congregation.
The whole church thundered into singing along and dancing, with Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah joining in, lost in the spirit of worship. The scene was one of unbridled joy, with the congregation united in their praise of God.
