The minister noted that effective policing and regional cooperation are essential in tackling emerging threats such as human trafficking, cybercrime, drug trafficking, terrorism, and other forms of transnational organized crime.

The two-day meeting has brought together police chiefs and senior law enforcement officials from more than 15 SADC member states to discuss strategies for strengthening regional security cooperation and enhancing the fight against cross-border crime.

SARPCCO serves as a key regional policing body that facilitates collaboration among law enforcement agencies within the SADC region, promoting information sharing, joint operations, and coordinated responses to security threats.
