Malawi’s inaugural First Capital Bank (FCB) Padel Cup ended on a high note at Hashtag Fitness in Blantyre, with Yusuf Bhura and Shezy Nathanie emerging as champions in the men’s category, while Aisha Jussab and Shaheena Omar claimed the women’s title.

Bhura and Nathanie produced a dominant performance throughout the competition to secure the men’s crown. Talha Bhura and Arshad Patel finished as runners-up after an impressive campaign.

The achievement carries greater significance as all finalists have qualified to represent Malawi at a regional tournament in Botswana later this year. Speaking after the tournament, FCB Group Head of Retail and Products Bhavya Shah said the bank’s K40 million sponsorship underscores its commitment to developing emerging sports and creating opportunities for athletes.
Shah said FCB remains dedicated to supporting sporting disciplines that provide platforms for talent development and regional exposure.
