The Joint parliamentary committee inquiring on AIP and maize related issues has sent back Smolet Kachere, the owner of a transportation company involved in the case of missing maize at NFRA, considering that the matter is in court.
In an interview, while on his way out, Kachere alleged there are some big thieves who have stolen maize at Admarc and they are trying so hard to frustrate their contract so that the maize is not being accounted for.
“They are claiming that they have about 38,000 metric tonnes in the Admarc depots but I can assure you that there is less than that, the maize has been stolen. There are big thieves that is why the publicity about this issue is highly sponsored so that the issue is blown out of proportion,” he said.
