Breaking News: “Please Sue” – Lawyer Alexious Kamangila responds to Justice Kenani Manda’s K250 million demand

By Burnett Munthali

Prominent Malawian lawyer Alexious Kamangila has hit back at Justice Kenani Manda, boldly challenging the judge to pursue legal action after receiving a K250 million demand letter. The demand stems from a dispute between the two legal figures, with Justice Manda claiming damages, which Kamangila has now publicly rebuffed.

In a striking response, Kamangila took to the public sphere with a defiant message: “Please sue.” The comment follows Justice Manda’s issuance of a demand letter seeking K250 million in compensation for alleged defamation or damages related to statements Kamangila made about the judge.

Kamangila, known for his fearless stance on legal issues, remains unshaken by the sizable demand. He insists that he will not be intimidated into silence or compliance. “Let justice take its course,” Kamangila declared, adding that he is prepared to face whatever legal repercussions may come from his remarks.

The K250 million demand letter is reportedly connected to statements Kamangila made regarding Justice Manda’s conduct in recent legal matters. Kamangila, however, has remained firm in his belief that he has done nothing wrong and that his comments are grounded in his legal perspective and principles.

This highly publicized legal feud has captured the attention of Malawi’s legal community and the general public, raising questions about the integrity of the judicial system and the nature of the conflict between these two high-profile figures. Many are now keenly watching to see whether Justice Manda will follow through on his legal threat or whether the dispute will escalate into a full-blown court battle.

As the situation unfolds, Kamangila’s challenge to “Please sue” has only heightened anticipation for what promises to be a highly charged legal showdown.
