Civil Service United has formally informed the Super League of Malawi (SULOM) that they will not comply with the fixture scheduled at Champion Stadium, asserting that their home ground,

Earlier, SULOM had moved the venue for the match between Civil Service United and Creck Sporting from Civo Stadium to Champion Stadium in Mponela.

This decision came after concerns that Civo Stadium, following the recent Burning Spear concert, was unfit for an elite match.

In a letter signed by Civil Service United’s Chief Executive Officer Edgar Chipalanjira, the club insisted that their match against Creck Sporting would be held at Civo Stadium, contradicting SULOM’s directive.

Chipalanjira further noted that the club lacks the funds to cover the cost of relocating the match to Champion Stadium.

SULOM also announced another venue change, moving the fixture between Mafco and Bangwe All Stars to Nankhaka Stadium, set for Thursday.
