Opposition parties in Malawi, including the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Alliance For Alliance (AFORD), United Democratic Front (UDF), UTM, and Economic Freedom Party (EFP), are gearing up for a national demonstration today, November 13, 2024, in Lilongwe.
The protest is aimed at pushing for the resignation of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Anabel Mtalimanja and Chief Elections Officer Andrew Mpesi, whom they accuse of being biased towards the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
