According to Kanengo Police Public Relations Officer Macfarlen Mseteka, the main suspect allegedly deceived a shop owner by claiming he had been awarded a government contract to construct a primary school.
Mseteka said the suspect convinced the business owner to release the cement, assuring him that payment would be made through a bank transfer. Believing the claim to be genuine, the shop owner released the consignment.Kanengo Police Confiscates Fake Fertilizer

“The recovered cement is valued at K2,409,500. Investigations resulted in the arrest of all five suspects and the recovery of the stolen property,” said Mseteka.
