Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) has said it has terminated the services of Queens coach Joan Kachilika and assistant coach Eleanor Mapulanga with effect from November 19.

A statement from NAM, signed by general secretary Yamikani Kauma also says the association has appointed former coaches Peace Chawinga-Kalua and Mary Waya as co-head coaches with effect from November 19 2024.

“NAM believes that being the highest qualified coaches in Malawi, their experience in coaching will aid development of players and having performed as players the two are best suited to steer the Queens and oversee the development of the Under-21 and Under-19 teams as we rebuild the team.”

The changes have also seen physical trainer Beatrice Mpinganjira’s contract terminated while former Queens coach Edith Kaliati has been appointed as technical advisor.

The changes follow the Queens poor performance against South Africa in the test series two weeks ago
