Sameer Suleman an enemy to MCP government for giving constructive criticism

A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has advised Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani-Hara to leave Agriculture service committee of Parliament chairperson Sameer Suleman alone.
Kamphangala said looking at Suleman’s explanations on why he made a surprise visit to Smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM) warehouse at Kanengo in Lilongwe, there is nothing wrong in him that he offended SFFRFM management.
He has described the whole motive behind forcing Suleman to respond on the reasons of visiting SFFRFM warehouses on a surprise visit as politically motivated reminding Malawians that MCP is not sleeping with Suleman offering constructive criticism to government.
The MCP diehard said Suleman is one of the MPs who stand on truth and what he speaks in Parliament attracts all that he is indeed representing the people of Blantyre South East constituency not clapping hands at nonsense as other MPs are doing in Paliament.
Kamphangala said in Parliament, there’s also Mzimba North legislator Yeremia Chihana and Rumphi East legislator Kamlepo Kalua, saying had it been that there were 100 MPs of their caliber, the Malawi Parliament would have been a House of honor.
He said Suleman was accompanied by journalists on his surprise visit to SFFRFM warehouse at Kanengo to ensure that there’s accountability and transparency saying the whole essence of taking journalists with him was for them to cover news.
The MCP diehard has suspected that a senior MCP official confronted with Chikunkhuzeni CEO of SFFRFM to lodge a complaint to Parliament on the surprise visit by Suleman so that his name is destroyed and become a laughing stock by the MCP.
“Madam Speaker, you have failed to take Parliament as an independent institution and those who have labelled you as the worst Speaker of Parliament since 1994, are not wrong,” said Kamphangala.
He has advised Malawians to start identifying new Members of Parliament in constituencies to replace these failed parliamentarians whose presence in Parliament is not to represent their constituents but their political parties and allowances.
Kamphangala said it is his prayer that in September, 2025 Malawi will go for factory setting with new MPs of new ideas and mindset change advising people of Mzimba North, Rumphi East and Blantyre South East to maintain Yeremia Chihana, Kamlepo Kalua and Sameer Suleman to teach the new coming Parliamentarians what to do in Parliament.
