“A tree that does not bear fruit is destined for the axe.”
We all know it too well that our country is drowning in hunger, corruption, and economic collapse, yet the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) continues to sing songs of false progress.
The Hi-5 promises—food security, economic growth, and service delivery—have faded like mist under the morning sun. Instead, Malawians are left with empty pockets, empty stomachs, and empty hopes.
Starvation and Hunger: Maize is now a luxury, AIP is a disaster, and Admarc depots remain empty. A government that cannot feed its people is a government that has failed.
The kwacha is in free fall, inflation is suffocating businesses, and instead of real solutions, MCP leaders are going door to door hunting for forex something which we ever seen or experienced as a nation.
These are people with Broken Promises: They vowed to end corruption, yet theft and looting have flourished under their watch. Where are the clinics they promised? The jobs? The progress?
Fellow country men September’s elections are not just another vote—they are a chance to reject failure. As an African proverb warns:
“If a leader cannot lead the people to water, the people must find a new leader.”
Choose wisely, Malawi. Our future depends on it.
My pen is mightier than a sword.
