Jumah claims MCP-UTM Alliance was a waste of resources
By Vincent Gunde
President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, has claimed that the Alliance experienced as from the 23rd June, 2020 to 16th September, 2025 has shown a waste of resources and a burden to the government of the day.
Jumah said instead of utilizing resources for development and uplifting lives of voters, what the “Alliance” has brought are a burdened economy, misuse of state funds and deepening disunity of the Alliance players or partners which has and is risking national unity.
He said the haste into formation of Alliances has clearly shown the spirit of gullibility of plunder of national resources than the intended purposes of developing the country and people saying this can be verified when one see “Conservatives joining hands with “Liberals, Democrats joining hands with “Autocrats, Socialists joining hands with Capitalists.
Writing in his Revolutionary statement, Jumah said no wonder, the Alliance between MCP and UTM never ended in peace because of two different ideologies hurriedly into an impossible togetherness as History is the great teacher.

Jumah said instead of rushing into other possible Alliances, there is need for all political parties in Malawi to draw resolutions and criteria over how new Alliances can be modified to avoid similar circumstances that halted the country from moving forward.
He has advised Malawians that as a nation, they must always be aware that each passing year without development, is a burden of the future generations saying each and every Alliance or step taken must be of benefit to the future, not the past or the present.
“Poor as the country is undertaking two elections in a space of 60 days can be costly but future-less alliances are also not good for the country in agony of persistent poverty and greedy leadership,” said Jumah.
He has called for the need to establish a conversation over the New Alliances so that as from 2025 going forward, Malawians don’t waste another 5 years of indecisiveness and lingering saying MRP will only go into an Alliance with political parties whose ideologies are in tandem with the party’s Realism policy.
Jumah has finally appealed to 23 registered political parties and independent presidential aspirants to enter into this decision of joining Alliances so that people don’t delay development and uplifting of their lives as from 2025 to 2030 claiming that this country is desperately need development and economic scaling-up
