Limpopo FM, an online Radio Station, has called on Malawians through their various social media forums to contribute whatever Kwacha they have to go a long way to Ben Longwe’s family as part of condolences.
The online Radio station said the sudden death of Sir Charles Ben Longwe has shocked many social media readers that used to listen to his courageous and encouraging words that whether one likes it or not, there will be a change of government on 16th September, 2025.
The Radio Station said many Malawians are still not believing that one of those who was speaking for millions of people in Malawi has closed his eyes and his body has been taken from Blantyre on Friday through Lilongwe to Nkhatabay for burial on Saturday.
In his last audio clip, Ben Longwe said he was going to Mangochi at a certain Private Clinic on trust that he will get good medical treatment for his leg after failing to access the treatment at Dae Young Luke Hospital in Lilongwe noticing that there were suspicious strange faces who were waiting for him.
The Radio Station’s Nkhanga zaona producer Comrade Mtanyiwa, said he has learnt with great shock and dismay that there will be many Police intelligence officers at Ben Longwe’s funeral planning to arrest him and has assured them that he will be in attendance.
Comrade Mtanyiwa said Charles Ben Longwe was his mentor, he is what he is today because of words of encouragement he was receiving from him and will pay his last respect to his body before it is laid to rest at his home in Nkhatabay.
“Let the Police use Ben Longwe’s funeral as an added advantage to arrest me, we will meet there and they will arrest me,” he said.
Mtanyiwa has called on fellow activists in Malawi to work together to face the devil in the quest of liberating the country from the hands of destroyers who are using power and money to intimidate, threaten and arresting opposition members to bounce back into government on the 16th September, 2025.
On a special note, Comrade Mtanyiwa has hailed UDF President Atupele Muluzi who after being approached by Ben Longwe himself, he provided resources to cover for his medical treatment forgetting everything the late Longwe as an activist was saying against him and the UDF.
Mtanyiwa has finally urged Malawians to reflect back to Ben Longwe’s life that his chapter has ended and what remains is that activists and Malawians themselves must stand up to fight for their own destiny saying Ben Longwe has set the path that it is possible to liberate their country from the shackles of MCP destructions.
