President of the United Democratic Front (UDF), Atupele Muluzi, has said that once elected into government, his first priority will be to address the rising cost of goods, cash shortages, and hunger—issues that he says Malawians are constantly complaining about during his nationwide tours.
Muluzi made these remarks during an interview with Brian Banda on the Times Exclusive program aired on Times TV on Saturday.
He stated that his top priority will be to improve the livelihoods of Malawians by ensuring they have enough food and access to money.
He added that he has the expertise and experience to govern, having joined politics at the age of 25. This year marks 22 years of his political career, including 15 years as a Member of Parliament and service in various ministerial positions.
On issues of corruption, Muluzi said he is a patriotic citizen, which is why he has never been associated with corruption or any misconduct, as he strongly believes in moral values and integrity.
