Malawi’s Minister of Information Shadric Namalomba, has told the British Broadcasting Corporation ( BBC) Focus on Africa that the government of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is encouraging each and every Malawian in South Africa to come back home.

Namalomba said the South African government has told Malawians to choose between stay or leaving advising Malawians who don’t have papers and that they are living in South Africa illegally, to come back home.Njanjeyo siyawo ndiya Mozambique _ Namalomba

He said one cannot go to a foreign country without papers, unless they have naturalized themselves as citizens of South Africa, appealing to the South African government to give them the necessary papers so that they become citizens of that country.

The Minister said many Malawians left the country to South Africa because the economy was being mismanaged and this is a fact, people were looking for greener pastures saying this is why many Malawians are living in South Africa and this is the appropriate time for them to come back home.

He assured the BBC that leaders of Africa have not come to one table discussion on addressing the question of migration, expressing hope that the issue will be handled by all African leaders because what is happening in South Africa, has affected the entire African continent.

Meanwhile, a voice of the voiceless citizen of Malawi who sacrificed his life for the change of government in Malawi from MCP to DPP Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has appealed to all Malawians to join hands in prayer for the safe return of a missing brother, friend, and Comrade Osward Juman in South Africa.

Comrade Jumbe said Osward positively continued to Impact countless lives through his remarkable work and dedication to the nation, particularly through the Whispers of the strangers Program on social media.
