Alliance Biodversity International And Ciat Introduces A 3 Year Youths Projects

Alliance of Bioversity international and CIAT with support from USAID Malawi has introduced a 3 year project called Business Acceleration for youth BA4Y which is targeting 50 youths and women led enterprises between the ages of 18 to 35.

Speaking to Journalists in Blantyre after orienting Journalists from Community Radios and District Information officers from the District of Mangochi, Zomba, Chikwawa, Thyolo, Balaka, Mulanje, Chiradzulu, Machinga and Nsanje, Business Incubation and Acceleration officer Oganive Chingakule urged the youth to take up the chance to apply for the grant once the program rolls out next month.

Chingakule further said that the project will engage Business trainers that will support youths in various sectors except mining to develop their business skills.

500 Million kwacha has been allocated for grants for 200 startups and each beneficiary will receive K2,500,000 after being successfully selected through a process which will be announced soon by the project.
