“Food security is crucial for our community. By providing agricultural inputs and training, promoting irrigation and climate-smart farming, and improving storage and market facilities, we can reduce hunger, fight malnutrition, and create a surplus that boosts family incomes,” she emphasised.
Hamdani further said she will ensure that youths and women are empowered saying that is a key part of her vision.

“I believe in the potential of our young people and women as leaders of change. My initiatives include establishing vocational skills centers for youths, providing training in carpentry, tailoring, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and entrepreneurship.
“For women, I will support cooperatives in farming, small businesses, and fisheries, ensuring access to microfinance and startup capital,” she said.
Hamdani said as a lawmaker, she will also be committed to promoting justice and equality in her community.
“We need to promote justice and equality in our community. By educating ourselves and others on the importance of these values, speaking out against injustice, and supporting organisations working towards equality, we can create a ripple effect of positive change,” she said.
To address climate change, Hamdani proposed a comprehensive plan.
“We must address climate change with a comprehensive approach,” she noted.
She added: “My plan includes transitioning to clean and renewable energy, promoting sustainable transportation, and implementing conservation-based solutions. We aim to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the community.”
Hamdan said access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and she was committed to ensuring that every household and school in Chia had access to clean, safe, and reliable water.
“My plan includes rehabilitating existing boreholes and wells, drilling new ones in underserved areas, and promoting water treatment and sanitation education,” she said.
She revealed that she has rehabilitated 12 boreholes in the area.
Hamdani also said she will also give proper attention to education since it is the key to unlocking the potential of our community.
“My back-to-school initiatives aim to provide essential learning materials, reduce dropout rates, and enhance school facilities. By encouraging community involvement, we can promote the importance of education and create a brighter future for the next generation,” she said.
Hamdani said with her comprehensive plans and passion for empowering her constituents, she urged people in the area to vote for her to make a lasting impact in Nkhotakota Chia Constituency.
“My vision for a brighter future is one that my constituents could rally behind, and together, we could create a thriving community where every individual had access to opportunities for growth,” she said.
Hamdani is among the eight candidates vying for Nkhotakota Chia Constituency during the September 16, 2025 general elections.
