Chakwera Given 21 Days To Fix The Mess

The Human Rights Defenders Coalition – HRDC has given President Lazarus Chakwera 21 days to dissolve his Cabinet and bring on board competent people.

Chakwera has also been given 21 days to fix the fuel situation and spell out concrete measures to addressing AIP mess.

HRDC has also demanded that Hellen Buluma Acting Chief Executive Officer for National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) be fired and that all those involved in the AIP mess and missing 13 trucks of Maize be arrested and face the Law.

Gift Trapence Chairperson for HRDC says, HRDC is giving Chakwera until 29th November 2022 and failure to act on the demands will lead to mass demonstrations on 7 December.
