DENEYE donates to Freddy survivors

A Machinga-based youthful- organization Development Network for Youth Empowerment (DENEYE- has been hailed for its commendable job for bailing out people with disabilities, elders and cyclone Freddy survivors in traditional Authority Mtumbwinda.

The remarks were made when organisation was donating some non food items to the people.

Traditional Authority Mtumbwinda said organisation always act first on any emergencies.

“Although this organisation don’t have funds it always come to us when we endengered, so have no word rather appreciating good work that you started long time back”, he said.

He then encouraged youths in the area to emurate what the organisation is doing by taking care of people with disabilities and elders.

” This is good to go I would like to appeal to other youths in the country to start appreciating and honouring these people so that they may live longer”, he said.

One of the beneficiaries Esnart Bround thanked the organisation for the help and asked for support as people in the area are still nursing problems caused by cyclone Freddy.

The organisation’s Executive director Shalid Ishmael said with the way he has seen how people are suffering, he has plegded to continue lobbying for other resources from welwishers and stakeholders.

” We have seen that people are starving from hunger,lack of good shelter kitchen utensils and clothes I am asking people who can help so that I can divert to them”, he said.
